Obituary for Linda Christine Mullen

Linda Christine Mullen, 69, of Marietta, Ohio, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on October 15, 1949, in Champaign, Illinois, to Gene and Bobbie Neely.
Linda graduated from Marietta High School. She was a nurse for over 30 years, employed by Horizons of Marietta and Memorial Health System. She loved playing Bunco monthly with her friends. Her commitment to her family and caring for others was what meant most to her. She was the most selfless, giving person one could ever hope to meet. She lived for making loved ones happy and easing their burdens.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Mullen, whom she married on April 25, 1992; three children, Matt Warden, Marc Warden (Katie), Michael Warden (Mandy); grandchildren, Drew, Owen, Jack and Tucker; siblings, Nancy Deutsch and Frances Neely.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gene and Bobbie Neely; infant siblings Gene Paul Jr, John Daniel, and Kelly-Jean; and grandson Ryan Mitchell Warden.
Per her request, there will be no services.
Linda's family would like to thank Dr. Siva and the staff at Strecker Cancer Center, Dr. Freed at Marietta Memorial and the Hospice staff of Amedisys. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (PO Box 1893 Memphis, TN 38101 or at www.stjude.org/donate) in the spirit of her love for children.
Linda was a beautiful, compassionate soul that will be greatly missed.
