Frank L. Williams passed away December 19, 2018. He was born March 16, 1935 in Foster, W. Va., where he spent his early childhood on a farm up Rock Creek hollow with his grandparents, Mommy and Poppy, and his mother the late P. Pauline Williams.
When he was 10, the family moved to Marmet where he attended Marmet schools, Charleston High School and graduated in 1953 from East Bank High School. He attended Marshall University majoring in engineering and was a member of TEKE fraternity.

During those years he participated in Bay of Pigs, Grenada and other operations. His call name was “Silver Fox” and he was a member of the crew that flew the last C119, also known as the Flying Boxcar, from Charleston to the Air Force graveyard in Tucson, AZ.
