Obituary for Robert Lee Merrow

Robert (Bob) Lee Merrow, 67, of Marietta left this earth with his angels as guides on November 29, 2017.
He was born to Walter and Creola Pryor Merrow on October 2, 1950. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1969. Bob was an avid guitarist and a member of the Minute Men and Cold Water Army bands during the 1960’s and 1970’s. He also enjoyed camping, boating, and the outdoors.
From 1970 to 1976 he was in the Airborne Green Beret – 19th Special Forces – West Virginia Army National Guard and Ohio National Guard. His 40 year career was spent in various positions at Marietta Concrete, Pattin Manufacturing, Dragon Manufacturing, and Airolite.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Schaad Merrow and son, Eric Lee Merrow (Julie Adams) of Eugene, Oregon.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Harold and survived by his siblings Dallas (Joyce) of Natalia, Texas; Myrtle Leister (Jim) of Marietta; Naomi Leister (Bernard) of Marietta; Walter, Jr. (Sharon) of Byesville; and Carolyn Faulkenberg (Jim) of Marietta.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday (Dec . 3) at 1:00 p.m. at the Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St. Marietta, OH 45750. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley or American Legion Post 159 Williamstown, WV Scholarship Fund.
