Obituary for George Jacob Amos

George Jacob "Jake" Amos, 31 of New Matamoras died at his home on Wednesday September 27, 2017. He was born in Marietta, Ohio the son of George W. and Terisa Dick Amos on September 27, 1986.
He was a millwright with Local No 1755 in Parkersburg, WV. He graduated from Frontier High School in 2005 and the Hobart School of Welding in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for bow hunting and bass fishing. He was a gifted athlete holding Frontier High School's single season rushing record.
He is survived by his parents of New Matamoras, two brothers John Amos (Krissy) of New Matamoras and Justin Amos (Brianna) of Marietta, one sister Jilli Ann Nash (Josh) of Middlebourne, WV. His grandmother Marilyn Perrine of Marietta , two uncles Frank Amos and Doug Dick, eight aunts Nancy Amos, Ruthie Cochran (Gary), Frankie Amos, Jo Anne Campbell (John), Valerie Schmidt (Trent), Louise Dick, Nancy Dick and Cecilia Amos. Several nieces and nephews and several close friends Corey, Nick, Anthony and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Glenna Amos and Ralph Dick and his uncle Carl Amos.
He will be missed by all that knew him.
Services will be held at the Hadley Funeral Home New Matamoras Chapel on Saturday September 30 at 11:00 A.M. with David Beaver officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday September 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
