Obituary for Calvin G. Martin

Calvin G. Martin, 79, of Marietta, OH passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Arbors of Marietta.
Calvin was born on November 9, 1937 to Gale and Goldie Hearn Martin. He worked as a Lawrence Township Trustee and drove school bus for Frontier Local Schools. He later obtained his teaching certificate and taught Vocational Agriculture at Frontier High School until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and being a vendor at the Farmer's Market. He was a member of the New Matamoras Masonic Lodge #374 F. &. A.M. and was a member of the Marietta Shrine Club.
He is survived by his mother, Goldie Hearn Martin; wife, Wilda W. Martin of 13 years; three daughters, Jackie Huck (Darrell) of Barlow, Paula Hollingsworth (Dustin) of Little Hocking, Cindy Martin of Marietta; five sons, Terry Martin (Patricia) of Atlanta, GA, Larry Martin (Betty), Mark Martin, Calvin J. Martin and Jayson S. Martin all of Marietta; step daughter, Kimberly Riffle of Marietta; step sons, Jack Riffle J.R. of Pennsboro, WV and Joshua Riffle of Charleston, WV. He also has numerous grand and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gale Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11 AM at the Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with burial to follow in the Moss Run Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 PM on Thursday, January 26 at the funeral home with a masonic service to be held at 8 PM.
